Thanks for everyone recommending it, I was more worried about the bug so I didn't considered this might be a thing.

Does anyone really care that other players are getting achievements using mods? This dumb limitation is there to protect who? Who will be damaged if I get the damn achievements while playing with mods?Д®dit: u/rikaco already shared the mod that enable achievements, which solved my problem. Having to sacrifice something I like in order to fix it for no good reason just made it worse. Sorry for the rant but finding out that I got hit hard by this bug killed my enjoyment when I was having a great time playing Fallout 4. Now that I'm aware that my perception is permanently damaged, the choice is easy though painful, goodbye achievements. Just Download the mod 'achievments' from Nexus if you want to get them while you play with mods. However, there's a mod that enables them again.

After some research, seems like Bethesda didn't bother to fix it and the best solution aside from wasting my time and patience trying to force the game to undo the damage only to fall victim of it again later is this mod, which means I was forced again to do a dumb, unnecessary choice, this time to fix what Bethesda left unfixed. Actually it's steam/the game itself that disables the achievements, since mods could be cheaty and thus achievements makes no sense. It probably been like that for dozens of hours, which explain my shit accuracy in VATS even though I have 7 PER), which is game breaking if you like to use VATS. Now I fell victim of the perception bug (I have a -5 permanent penalty. Since I'm not much into mods, I decided to go for achievements.

I was going to install the unofficial patch for Fallout 4 since I did the same in Skyrim, then I find out that I would need to give up on achievements. Meanwhile, I feel free to use mods, I'm not forced to choose between two features for no good reason.

Nobody cares that players can use mods to get achievements, there's no complaints, if there's mods that help to get achievements it's not popular enough to matter, you just don't hear about it. Then Civ VI came out and it allow players to get achievements when they are using mods and guess what, the world didn't end. Alternatively a game save from before the trigger event can be loaded.Civilization V was like that, so I never got into mods there since I was interested in achievements and I'm not much into modding the game, aside from fixes and quality of life stuff. If achievements are disabled when an Achievement Trigger Event occurs (such as winning your thirtieth game of Caravan), achievement progress will be reset and the player will have to redo the entire achievement (i.e. Loading a saved game in which the console has been used will not disable achievements. You will see two characters with the same name, but one will have (Modded) next to it. In either case, achievements can be re-enabled by exiting the game completely and re-loading the game. To go back to your unmodded character in order to unlock achievements again, you need to disable all mods, then choose LOAD from the main menu, and then press Y, which will bring up character selection. Simply opening the console will not disable achievements a command must be entered and run via the console. This includes non-controversial commands such as save.

Steamworks achievements are subject to a number of additional security measures, set up to ensure that achievements are awarded legitimately.ДЇirst and foremost, using the console on the PC version for any reason will disable achievements for that play session. Gun Runner's Arsenal adds the last 5 achievements and 125 gamerscore points. Lonesome Road adds 5 achievements again worth 125 gamerscore points. Old World Blues adds an additional 5 achievements worth 125 gamerscore points. Honest Hearts adds another 5 achievements worth 140 gamerscore points. Dead Money adds 5 more achievements worth 140 gamerscore points.

The base game has 50 achievements and 1000 gamerscore points. (As noted by many mod authors & users, use of mods in-game can prevent achievements from completing when attained.)

Unlike Fallout 3, the retail PS3 version shipped with PSN trophy support. The PC version of Fallout: New Vegas uses Steamworks for achievements, and the Xbox 360 version uses Xbox LIVE.
